Fun for Me

In my attempt to find order in world where there is none, I've decided to write down a few of the lists that I always keep in my head.  I'm absolutely positive that no one will have any interest in this page but me.  And that's okay.

Favorite Movies of All Time:

The Wonder Boys

The Shipping News

As Good As It Gets

The Matrix

Ever After

Dedication

Favorite Museums:

The Open-Air Museum in Hakone, Japan

The Rodin Museum in Paris

The Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in DC

Musee d'Orsay in Paris

Most Awful, Want-to-Shoot-the-F*#&$n'-Radio Songs:

La Bamba

Kokomo (or anything else by the Beach Boys)

I'm Special by The Pretenders (aka "The Short Bus Song")

Anything by James Taylor (I know this is going to get me hate mail.  I can't help it.  There's nothing more boring than a JT song.)

Favorite CDs I can listen to from beginning to end:

Okay, I'm really showing my age here because this list is all about which CDs I could put into the first CD player I ever owned, a little Panasonic portable, and listen to without having to get up and skip a song.

This list came about because I had scores of songs that I loved but never heard because I knew that after I was done listening to it, I'd have to get up from whatever I was doing and switch out the CD.  So, I began keeping a mental list of all the CDs that I loved to listen to the entire way through.  And even now, with playlists and mp3 players in abundance, I still mentally keep up this list.
